I will stamp all over 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua
Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "defeat" the American as the pair met personally to publicize next month's bout.
Ex two time unified heavyweight champion Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to injure him. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British rival Fury - and declined a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer said.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Success
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

As the two fighters engaged in the usual stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
